Hong Molitor-Xu was born in Shanghai and educated in Germany, Hong Kong, and the United States. After a successful career with a major German construction company, she earned a degree in Interior Design at the New York School of Interior Design. Following her matriculation, she became a leading force at Drake Design, where she flourished under the mentorship of Jamie Drake—an AD100 Hall of Fame designer and Elle Decor A-List Legend.

Now, as the mind behind her own firm, Hong Molitor-Xu’s technical prowess and sharp artistic sensibility take center stage as she composes new projects from the ground up. Through close collaboration with contractors and architects, each component of the home is built around individualization and longevity. Her sense of whimsy, her eye for detail, and her masterful control of drama form the essence behind her distinct signature.
